Greetings from Guatemala

01.15.09 We are writing today from Antigua, Guatemala after a great trip. We head home tomorrow and in the last few days have seen the Tikal and Quirigua ruins. Note the Egan family gliph, above.

1.11.09 Hello from Copan, Honduras! We spent he morning at the ruins of Copan and it was beautiful. We heard the stories of the Mayans and saw the museum of archeological history. Tomorrow we cross back into Guatemala and head to Tikal.

1.09.09 Today we are in the Lake Atitlan region of Guatemala, staying in a garden style hotel in Santa Catarina. It is very peaceful here. The birds, flowers and landscapes are gorgeous. This is a beautiful country! Shopping in the marketplace of Chichicastenango is a contact sport.

1.07.09 We are writing from Guatemala where we arrived yesterday.

Today was our city tour and we go to the lake region tomorrow
for a close up at the volcanoes. We visited the textile musem
and sampled some Guatemalan beer and rum today. Both were good!
