The UT McDonald Observatory is in Ft Davis and we went to a Star Party one night
Ft Davis is surrounded by the beautiful Davis Mountains

We all hiked from the very top down to the old Buffalo Soldier fort which is now a National Historic Park

West Texas mountains are very cool and on our last 2 days, very cold (16) and snowy!
